Dear Friend or Guest,
Welcome to the Rotaract website of RFPD! The „Rotarian Action Group for Population and Development“ (RFPD) was established in 1996 to face the challenge of an exponentially increasing world population – addressing one of the six focus areas of Rotary International.
More than 20.000 members worldwide – including a growing number of Rotaractors – are actively involved in fostering a more sustainable population growth with focus on maternal and child health.
Through international volunteer projects in developing countries RFPD contributes to improving medical health care systems and offers family planning services in order to decrease the mortality rate of mother and child. This is a major benefit to the poorest population groups, strengthens the role of the woman which consequently is able to contribute to the economic well-being of her family.
Bring about change! Partner with your Rotarian community and realize cross-border projects, tailored to either you as an individual or as a RAC Club. RFPD gives you the possibility to connect beyond borders. Take this chance and do also have a look at our RFPD Academy – a unique networking opportunity that only takes place once per year. Go for it!
This year’s Rotaract delegates of RFPD are Sonja König and Sophie Susel, both from Rotaract Club Hamburg-Alstertal, Germany. They are looking forward to realize projects with interested members of the Rotarian family and do welcome any questions on RFPD.
